We exist to support research, education, and the dissemination of information for issues important to the building industry. With your help, we can make a difference for the building envelope.
What We Do

We work to financially support activities that advance the knowledge of the building envelope. These projects may take the form of publications, educational programs, or research. Our success is measured by the number of people we educate and the quality of the research, programs and services we provide. Our programs are fueled by our dedicated staff, caring leadership, volunteers and generous donors.
The RCI Foundation is not involved in RCI, Inc. activities or political development. While the RCI Foundation and RCI, Inc. do work closely together, the Foundation is governed by a separate, independent board of directors.
Because of its focus and restriction on activities, the Foundation has gained approval from the IRS as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization committed to education and research.
In the News
El Niño has arrived. What does it mean for the weather?
It's official, an El Niño advisory is now in effect for the globe. After several months under a "watch," teetering on the edge of El Niño, NOAA's Climate Prediction Center (CPC) has finally pulled the trigger.
The climate phenomenon may enhance an already very stormy pattern across California, making it even stormier.
The El Niño Southern Oscillation is a natural cycle of warmer and cooler than normal Equatorial Pacific Ocean temperatures. The El Niño phase is a warming of the Central and sometimes Eastern Equatorial Pacific sea surface temperatures, occurring every few years on average.
